weekend, and the 411.

this weekend my family from Melbourne came up and we celebrated my little brother's 9th birthday!! i cannot believe he is 9, and so mature for his age. i don't think i was so mature and respectable at his age! the party was themed, called 'Xavier's superhero and villain party'. and, fitting i came as a villain, well, oddly, nearly all of my family members did! it is great to hang out with them, and i have forgotten how awesome people are when everything is going smoothly and everyone is having a great time!

you'll have to excuse me if i don't want to show pictures of me. i am my worst critic, and i looked so odd and old! so, i was ursula; from ariel, maddy was cruella de vil. i'll show some photos, as there are some cute babies in our family and some cute family members!

i also have another announcement, i am starting uni tomorrow! i am nervous and excited at the same time! though, i am mostly NOT looking forward to the travel! it is a 40 minute train ride (if i am lucky), and then either i catch a bus, or walk. and i have to stay late - everyday! well, not everyday, just monday, tuesday and wednesday! it is also going to be the first time that i am actually away from maddy! it is so sad, and maddy has already made me cry twice! it is a sister thing, or even worse, a twin thing!

going to get some shut eye, and get ready for the future a head of me!

night out, finally!

friday night i went out with a group of my closets friends, as we haven't seen each other for weeks. that mostly due to we no longer spend 6+ hours together in a controlled, learning environment. we are now adults of the world, and with that we have adult things to it :-(. but, catching up with friends, you always seem to meet in the most, if i dare say, 'hip and cool' places (i cringed when i read that!). well, when we went out, all the words i can say about it was, it was an experience.

what ever happened to people talking to one another? the place that we went to had a bistro, bar and a dance floor. and of course, we danced. but when people want to dance with you, there is no courtesy! it is like we are back in kindergarten and everyone just wants to push and be close to you, without being close to you! that might not make total sense, but it was annoying when you want to catch up with friends and people see an opportunity to invade your space.

however annoying these people were, i am so glad i caught up with friends. sometimes i cannot go, and it is mostly due to family reasons or family functions. and don't get me wrong, i love my family and they are my number one priority, but friends, well, you gotta love them. on this note, i would like to thank my friend Maxine for organising it! it has been hard to get all girls to decide when and where, but we finally did it! thank you to my step-father, David, who stayed up until 12.30 to pick us up - i love you!

18 things, or maybe just finish.

i have been trying to think of more things about myself, but it is really hard! i think, 'oh, i don't like this', but then, it would really be '18 things i don't like post', and who wants that? i am trying to articulate certain aspects of my life that make me who i am, or make me the person who i want to be. if i do say anything that is offensive, please do not take it to heart. it is who i am, and who i was raised to be. i have an incredible life in terms of family and friends. here are more things about myself, some of which i hope to change.

9. i do not take my make-up off at night. it is a terrible habit, and something that i hope will change!

10. clean freak, i might even call myself OCD in some parts of my house !

11. i loose jewellery all the time, so i don't wear it often. they mostly sit on my desk, and that really upsets me!

12. i will always apologise first. i do not hold grudges, they are a waste of time.

13. sleep with three pillows, it gets crowded!

14. some of my family lives in Melbourne, Australia. i hate that.

15. first concert i went to was hilary duff.

16. i am straight up. i do not have a split personality. if i do not like someone, i will not fake it.

17. will never get a tattoo. mostly because my mother forbids it.

18. every night i have scary dreams, and i always wake up frightened.

well, that is enough for now. i didn't think finding 18 things about me would be hard, but it is. i would also like to add that yesterday was my nana's 73rd birthday! love you so much nan, you mean the world to me, and if that means buying shoes for you everyday, i would!

18 things, or maybe 8 for now.

since i have started this little blog, i best tell things about myself. and it was only fitting to tell 18, cliche, as i am...

1. i don't like eating things with spoons, i prefer forks.
2. i am an aunt, and i adore my niece and nephews, which you'll find out soon enough.
3. i graduated high school in 2012.
4. started university in 2013, and will be a Primary School teacher in approx. 4 years. (that sounds sad!)
5. my dream is to live in London and teach. and i cannot remember a time when i didn't want this dream.
6. coloured popcorn, all the way.
7. i have 7 brothers and sisters. one of which is my twin! oh, how i love them!
8. vegetarian. and not because i love animals.

lets be honest, 18 is hard! but i'll get there!
