BITS & PIECES

there are an adorable amount of photos that need to be seen. maddy always seems to be taking photos and is surprisingly good at it ;-), and well i kind of suck at it, or forget about - like when people take photos of food, i usually eat it first, then be like "s***, that would of been a pretty picture, meh." and the pictures are out of order, but i'm trying to not be so crazy at making everything neat and tidy. you need a little craziness in your life. so, thanks maddy for the photos,  you are my second favourite sis ;-).

^^^how cute are these two? maddy and i try to go to mass every sunday, and after, we visit our sister. it just so happened that they were at the park and we got to play with the little kids, which included lauren's niece and nephews. another excuse is that the bakery sells vegetarian vietnamese rolls, and they are amazing! we clearly love them so much because when we walked in, she started our order!^^^

^^^lachie's face, a classic. i love catching babies funny faces, because you need them for their 18th and 21st birthdays - am i right?! i also painted my aunty's bathroom ceiling, whilst juggling looking after little nate whilst his parents were out! how adorable is that smile! he is so cute, and crawling now - it is freaking me out how fast they grow!^^^

^^^my best friend sarrah and i went  out with other girlfriends to a little club/pub/whatever-you-call-eating-drinking-and-dancing-place. it was fun, however, what is it with music these days?! like, why would i want to dance to a song called 'bubble-butt', i think not. my step-dad turned 60 recently and we had a huge family gathering! the food was amazing, just look at it - mum, you are truly amazing!^^^

^^^look at these guys, so photogenic. this is what happens on long car trips, as well as trying to keep them awake so they don't sleep in the car and ruin the schedule - kids!^^^

p.s. just a happy birthday to my mum (15th july) and my step-dad, davie (16th july). i love you guys, and no one could ask for better people to care for them, and to love them, too.

MELBOURNE, WAY WAY BACK.

a couple of weeks ago, maddy and i flew to melbourne to see my dad, step-mother and my little brother, xavier. since our university holiday, maddy and i have tried to see the family who live a little bit too far to see in a day or two, which has been awesome (but has also neglected me from the blog!).

i loved seeing the family,  especially when my little brother is absolutely awesome, and every time i see him he has grown a foot and matured like a little man! we did some cute things together, like watching new movies together at the cinema and going to the markets. even just hanging at home and playing his made up games was cool.

we also went to st paul's cathedral with my dad. it was so beautiful, both inside and out, and i loved how you can just walk in and see the history. every wall either had something to do with the church, the people or the city itself. we were in there for about 20 minutes, but xavier had enough after 2 minutes, and after that, there was just so much drama, i was glad to get home after that day! though melbourne city is so pretty, and the streets and full of funky people!

i also loved when the parents went out and we got to 'babysit'. we made homemade pizzas and read books, that was lovely. and i say proudly that there wasn't one fight the entire night, even when it was bedtime and he wanted to draw more in his book (fyi-ing on the book; he writes in this book every night as he wants to be a game designer. i am trying to convince him to name them one gerogie, but he isn't going for it. i also have no idea what the game is, nor understand how to play it. but hey, i still want the name, xav!).

^^^dad, maddy and i snuck out during the day to see 'the heat', which was so funny! it is a major success, especially when dad laughs multiple times (-; ).^^^
^^^love you, xavier. i could not ask for a better, younger brother. you are too cool for your skin, and i loved walking you to and from school.^^^

thank you again fambam for having maddy and i. even though we are clean freaks and demand vegetarian food. love you, guys xo

THANKS, NEWTOWN.

recently, maddy and my sister julia went to the funky place of newtown. this place is full of cool, hipster people, who can pull off any piece of clothing and hair-colour (i saw yellow hair colours, it must be in style?!) and make it work. newtown has the most amazing shops - either food or clothes, though they are ridiculously expensive, so maddy and i windowed shopped (which i didn't mind, mostly because who can be bothered to try on clothes?!) . the places are just amazing to look at, for example, the bookstores - all i want to do is sit in them and just read ever book! we also went to lunch at a vegan restaurant 'iku'. it was amazing, ridiculously amazing. we also shopped at 'the cruelty free shop', which sells vegan and cruelty free products (and delivers - bonus!).

it was a lovely day, and cannot wait to actually shop with all of my sisters soon - that is going to be really hard to do, even impossible ;-)! it is so nice to do something that you cannot do on a normal day, however, i believe (and maddy would agree) that we need to wear better shoes, because at the end of the day we had to trade shoes and sit down!

but, thanks newtown - you were great!

ROAD TRIP.

earlier in the week my sister and i visited our little nephew who lives ridiculously far away, well only three hours - but still far! i have a love-hate relationship with car trips. i love my car, but i don't really like to drive. and maddy doesn't drive, she can drive, but she doesn't like driving little yellow welly (that's our cars name!). here are cute little photos of us hanging out with the little man. he has grown so much since we last saw him, and i am scared that the next time we see him he will be walking ;-).

SATURDAY NIGHT.

last saturday day/night/morning my twin sister, maddy, and i watched our little nephew, nathaniel. omg - i do not know how mothers can be so amazing and so there all the time. my brother and his partner were celebrating their 3 year anniversary - congrats - so they decided to do it in style, and go the food and wine festival in sydney. and being amazing aunties, we looked after the little 6 month old. now, i follow schedules, so when they told me he'll eat at this certain time and wake up at this early hour, i believed them. he however, decided that he would be rebellious and did not follow a routine. i cannot complain as he was amazing i didn't have to wake up too much, but next time i'll tell him to follow the schedule or the high-way ;-)

^^^we read stories to him, which included some of the stories we read to our other nephew's and niece. it is very important to read to children, especially now!^^^

he was absolutely adorable and i thank my brother and sister-in-law for entrusting me with their son, and cannot wait (well i kind of can) to look after him again! he rocked.
