MERRY CHRISTMAS!

happy christmas, friends! this post will be short and sweet. a couple of days before christmas, maddy (my sister), as well as my mum and step-dad visited my sister, alex, and her husband matt. though in all honesty, we went to their house because of little lachie. he is so adorable, and man he knows it! unfortunately for us and fortunately for my sister, she is holding her own little christmas celebrations, so she isn't coming to our huge (50 people - crazy!) christmas party! we had a cute little lunch and gave them their presents, though lachie was more interested in the wrapping paper - i can't really blame the 6 month old!
^^^cutest family. ever. when lachie was first born, he looked like his dad, no al in site! now, i feel like his mum is getting a say! but man, his eyes are amazing!^^^
^^^he has the greatest little smile. when he was first born, i was scared he would never remember me (they live so far away!)– but by the look on his face, especially when he is grabbing my face, he totally loves me – ha!^^^

have a safe and happy holiday! God bless.

I'LL THINK OF A TITLE...ONE DAY.

(unfortunately, i do not know where this photo comes from - but i feel like this is what my life would be like if it was commentated on...)

get excited guys: christmas is around the corner, literally - two days! when christmas is upon us, i begin to think of my family and friends, and how much they mean to me. it's not only a time for love and compassion, but also reflection. i love christmas, and it's not about the presents (to be honest, i hate getting presents. it's not that i am not grateful for the generous thought and gift, but i feel like the attention is on me. i dislike that very much!), but it is about what we have done, and what can we do. as i reflect, i try to think of something meaningful that i have done. but all i can think of is letting older people have my seat on the train, or opening doors for the less fortunate. this annoys me. i wish i did something extraordinary with myself. with what i have, i could of done something so little, and it might of made the biggest different in the world to someone in need. this is kind of like a declaration, rather than a new years resolution. i want to do more for people. to make meaning in my life where i can wake up and feel like i  have a purpose!

again, i’m also going through those ‘do i want to go back to university’ blues. i dislike these. i must get them when i feel uni is near – it’s not that near, but still, 2 months in close! anyway, i’ll get back with you on my decision with uni. first, i’ll have to tell my parents.

love, georgie x

p.s. i have some exciting news that I shall share soon! well, super exciting for me, but not that exciting for everyone else! also, maddy has made it abundantly clear that i have been useless at posting - i once again, apologise.

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY, NATE.

it's another month, and thus another birthday! nathaniel turned one and we celebrated this huge milestone (for mummy leslie, daddy michael and big brother jacob, oh, and also nate) by having a little party at my parent's house! the day, including the weather, was absolutely lovely. we set up a little shade area for all the kids, and they just had a so much fun - mostly because we set up a 'pool' (well, two shells filled with water), and that was good enough for them, so good enough for us. nathaniel is the most easiest kid i have ever met. he is so content and happy and smiles like there is no tomorrow! he is so sweet, that even when his big cousin william grabs him in a headlock, he doesn't even cry (take note little nieces and nephews). nate, we love you very much, and we are so blessed that you have come into our lives.

^^^ these little shells (the blue 'pools') were amazing! the day was just right to have a swim. most of the littlies have their swimmers at our house because we take them to swimming lessons, but jacob (the big kid lying down in the pool!) decided that swimmers required too much effort, and went in clothes and all! (i have to say, it did sound like a great idea!). ^^^

^^^lachie, the little guy wearing the nappy, pooped all over his aunty lauren!! it was so funny, we had just enough time to take a photo before wardrobes were rummaged through, again! and miss edie pie, well, she loves the camera (and man it loves her too!).^^^

^^^nate wanted to touch the candle instead of blowing it out, but don't worry, his big brother took care of that candle! nana didi and nate just hanging - i'm pretty sure he just ate his cake and we were lucky enough to sneak a squeaky clean photo of him!!^^^

^^^i cannot express how much love we have in and for our family. even those little looks show how much love radiates between us. family is so important, and i will never take advantage of my beautiful, loving family.^^^
happy birthday again, nate, i love you so very very much.
