SUNDAY FUNDAY!

sunday was a great day. i love sundays, especially because i believe that sunday stands for ‘eat pancakes all day, and no one can judge’. in the morning madeleine and i went to mass with our father who was up from melbourne. i love mass, not only because i am a catholic, but because i love to sing (i can’t sing though), and i feel that that is the one place i can sing loud and no one can judge – well, except god. then my sister held a brunch at her house! she, her husband and edie returned from their belated honeymoon and i am so happy for that! unfortunatly, little babe got an infection in her eye, but she is recovering! nathaniel and jacob are just melting my heart, and though william isn’t in the photos – due to a scheduling party, he is too social – he was adorable for the 5 seconds i saw him.
happy monday everyone!

^^pancakes, they make a great day even better. especially when you are trying to wrestle with a 5 month old who wants to shove them in her mouth!^^

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DADDIO!

as you can guess, it is my father's birthday today! he has turned the big - 57! unfortunately he lives in another state, thanks to my step-mum's awesome job ;-) (though, it is really awesome, go natalie!), but us kids are old enough to be, yeah, that's cool. i have great memories of my father, for example, when i was younger my dad would read to my twin sister and i in his bed. it was stories of his war books, basically blood and guts, but his voice would capture us and defiantly not the story. he just has this soothing voice, that when he read, we feel asleep! i know that doesn't sound loving, but i loved him reading to us (i think i asked him all the time to read, just to fall asleep!). he is a strong man my father, and has battled things that a far greater then you can imagine. i love you, dad. even though you lied to me about the fairies in the back garden (he used to write in tiny tiny writing on old letters ‘from’ portia and cressida. It was so awesome, but i totally believed him – thanks, dad), you are a great man.

 and happy birthday again, dad.

PJ DAY.

for me, generally, saturday is a day of activity. leaving the house and checking out new things. however, today’s weather was horrible. i mean, i woke up and there was no sun, and just an overcast day with the looks of rain. and it did rain, and rain and rain - which we need. but, the best bit about rain is that you have an excuse to stay in pjs and watch movies, eat junk food, or what my family and I did – play board games (and eat junk food, still in our pjs)! we have traditional board games like rummikub – it is the best game, it changes you life - play it. maddy and i also sing throughout this game. i have no idea why, but now i cannot play without making up my own tunes! however, we also played cluedo which i cannot remember playing as a child! it was so much fun! the first time we played i won – it was miss scarlet with the wrench in the ballroom! second time my mum won, but i’m glad it was her and not the others, i don’t trust them ;-). i expect next weekend’s activities – rain or shine – to consist of this again!

^^^i asked everyone to make a face of how they all feel whilst playing. i think my mother has that face becasue she won :-(. i also notice that maddy and i are wearing the sam jumper. she copied me, that's all i can say.^^^

tonight i am going one of my best friends birthday parties! Her birthday isn’t for a couple of weeks, but who cares – you don’t need an excuse for partying! We have known each other for over six years now, and have pretty much grown up together during our awkward teen years! we even live a street away from each other – i call that fate! she is an absolute doll and though we have had our differences – pretty sure maddy made her cry as she made me cry once! – i love her, and cannot wait for another six years! happy early birthday, gaby!

please also read my other post, and remember to love one another.

UNIVERSITY CATCH UP.

university life has been an absolute great experience. i think i passed the half way mark for my first semester last week, and it is so odd how fast things are going and changing. for example, this week i did my first presentation, and luckily i did it with a girl i knew from high school, because then i would be really scared! i personally think we nailed teaching the class about multiples and factors, but that is just me ;-). university isn’t for everyone, as i know multiple people who have already felt this way and have decided to drop from university. but, it is a great opportunity, and i am not taken anything for granted. which is why i thank all my parents for their continuing support. i love you guys.
on another note nathaniel is just so cute. i cannot help but just getting whatever camera is near me and taking a million and one photos of him! though, like him, i am missing his partner in crime cousin, edie and her parents who are on their honeymoon! ten days is too long guys, come home.

^^^i sent these to maddy when she was at university. saying that he was upset that she was gone, but happy when i told him she will be home soon ;-).^^^

i also ask something of you. i have a friend who has been recently been diagnosed with cancer and i ask that we pray for her and her family. to give her strength in order to overcome this difficult time. to let her know that she is not alone.

it's friday!

i have been super busy this week, with handing in three assignments, and going to prac for uni, i just cannot wait when there is a time when everything just calms down – who am i kidding, it is never going to calm down! but, for now, i am just trying to get through everyday. though today I go super sunburnt and now i look like i have a permanent red jewellery line ;-). however, the guy i work with would just tell me to suck it up, so i’ll just cover up and remember to wear sun block – silly me!! but, best part of the week is thursday, when I can have a two babies in my arms and it is awesome! but, i am glad it is friday and i actually have things to do, starting with a cocktail party tonight - how cute?!
^^^i love it how they are both falling over, typical 4 & 5 months.^^^

^^^edie: i think i could fit that in my mouth...  nate: what you lookin' at?! ^^^

still going.

i have a couple more assignments to complete this week, so i thought i would put on some photos that are just too cute not to ignore! and, they usually don't go with a post! these past couple of weeks have been crazy, or like my mother would say 'cray cray'. but, i am going strong and cannot wait to get back into normal routine. uni is getting to become the norm, but not easy, that's for sure! trying to keep up with readings and lectures and tutorial notes are hard, though i know a lot of people who are in the same position as i - phew!
hope you all are having a great week, and look forward to coming back!

^^^crazy kids.^^

^^^look are those faces - i am dying.^^^

^^^it is cold in australia right now. but, how cute are cold clothes?!^^^

happy easter!

hope you all had a great and happy easter! it was a great day, sunday. some of my family was there, and i say some because i have a huge family! and it is awesome! and it includes blended and step. but the greatest thing about my family is that we are not designated by this status. growing up i didn't even know that was something to do with my family, i just thought; yep, that's my fambam. and, they are. i do not have a different regard for my family, and i am appreciative for my awesome family that they have given me this opportunity to grow into an accepting person of different household situations. for example, when i was in primary school, 5 years old, i asked people who was 'their david'? as a child i didn't understand that not everyone had a step-parent, and not everyone has a 'david'. and, even though that is completely odd, i was upset for them because i loved my step-parents, i loved my parents. so, whoever and whatever you celebrated with and for on that glorious day on sunday, i hope you celebrated the day with people you love. surrounded by people who you cared about, and who care for you too.
i will be putting together a little video over the week of our sunday festival. but, i have three, yes three assignments due next week, and i am kind of freaking out! first year of university is very interesting, and i am loving the challenge and the atmosphere. i am meeting new people, and going through moods that i forgot about - thanks hsc. but, then again, as i always say - don't complain about something that you have chosen. i have chosen to further my education, and though some days i wish i could fast forward to 2016 and get my degree in bachelor of education, i cannot wait to further my experiences in this big, wide world!
^^^maddy took these awesome, talented photos. i think she is has found her calling ;-).^^^

^^^easter bunny.^^^

^^^i think these are my favourite photos of just some of my sisters!^^^

^^^the tradition going well.^^^
