FIT NOT SKINNY.

so, i'll be the first one to admit that i like the idea of exercise, but i just hate exercising! i mean, for a woman it is a hard commitment because once you sweat, there is no going back! you have to wash your hair and really, start all over again. so, beside these negative attributes, myself and a couple of family members are dedicating ourselves to a healthier lifestyle! i don't like the word 'skinny' as it portrays this negative imagine to young girls and women! my word is 'fit' and 'tight'. i don't want a number on the scales, but i want a feeling of accomplishment, where i can run up flight of stairs and not get puffed out!
to maintain this image of fitness, we have started to walk/run the knapsack stairs. i know that you should really be timing yourself, but for now, i want to make half the stairs running without having to stop! it kills me and i feel that my health just isn't where it should be for a 19 year-old! for example, today we didn't even make it to the top of the hill! but you know, that's ok! i don't want to be compared with other people or feel bad because some days i eat too many cookies or i skip a couple of meals! i want to be healthy, and i think if us women (and men) stick together and encourage us to do well!
for now on, i am going to try and be healthy! i want to be fit, and so should you! we are not fat, nor are we going to try and be skinny!

THANKS, BLACKHEATH.

earlier last week i, along with my sister julia and little will, visited my step-mum, dad and little brother xavier in blackheath! i kind of have a love/dislike relationship with blackheath. it is so beautiful and the shops are great to just look inside and pretend that you are buying a house and getting all these awesome vintage items (come on, i know i am not the only one that does that!). But blackheath is so far away that when i want to go up, it is hard to get away from work or other commitments!

on the way we visited leura, which has many shops on the strip that william loved just looking at the front on the stores and trying to find the trains! there is also this yummy (well i presume yummy, however, julia did not let me try any of her cake!) vegan restaurant, where you can get brownies and cakes and shepherd's pie! i kind of wish i could of stayed there longer, and just went through every shop, but we had to catch up with the fambam and william is not the most patient person! though i did buy the cutest shoes - i just need an excuse to wear them out ;).

however, i am going to try and get up there more! it is a beautiful spot and i want to take advantage of it! so, hopefully there will be more post about me just chillin' at blackheath!
^^^william is too funny, he quickly took this old hat from a stand, moved a chair and then closed the curtain to try the hat on! he wasn't that into it, but i love how we have such an influence on little kids that they copy things so easily! he was such a good boy, which was once rare!^^^
^^^but seriously, how pretty is their house? natalie knows how to decorate and she loves to do her own little d.i.y things, which is so cool! i try and help, but really, all i did was put a bowl on a canvas so the feather would stay still, ha ha!^^^

and, a happy monday to all!

LIFE ACCORDING TO MY IPHONE.

i love instagram. i love it because i can put stupid, ridiculously photos of babies or food or even a pretty little flower (haven't done that yet, but there is always an option) and i'm not overloading my friends and family. and the filters, man they make anyone look good, am i right?! ;).

I DIDN'T LIKE TUESDAY.

tuesday was a really sad day, and it started at (i think) five in the morning! my sweet, adorable cousin has left me and our little family down here for five weeks to go back to her other family! she has finished her first semester at university and left at the ridiculous time to surprise some of her family! the night before she left we had a little party. and i say little as i had work and she bought ben&jerry's and i think they ate it all before i got home because when i got home it was really late and they were getting ready for bed. so, i might of exaggerated the party thing, as it was just jemma (the going away gal), emma and maddy! now that i have re-read those sentences, it makes no sense. we really just had a sleepover!
but i miss her already. we have been hanging out together for so long that i still think she is just in her room, playing her guitar and having music on really loud!  i remember when she first came to live with us and i thought that we would be sick of each other after a month and i didn't like the thought of that. it scared me! we have such a good relationship, but i didn't want that thing to happen where you are with someone for too long and you get sick of them! tell me i am not the only one?!
so, i miss her. and even though i know at this particular time she is angry with me (and i am sure i will get a text message soon saying something about the photos), i love her dearly and miss my best friend. so jem, hurry up and come back. i miss your letters, your shoes and even your snoring!

LITTLE HANDS, & A MESSY HOUSE.

before i wrote this bog, my "beautiful" (you'll understand the rabbit ears soon) cousin came into my room and asked when i had finished my exams. i said, last friday. she then slapped me in the face and told me "so, it's been nearly a week and you haven't written a blog post?!" (you can see now why i used the rabbit ears to describe my cousin). i tried to blame maddy (she needed to send me photos), i blamed it on being busy at my primary school and even cleaning of the house! but honestly, i am not an exciting person. most days i just do what working people do, and then i work at night or i come home and watch lame t.v., like s.u.v and then i go to bed. i mean, who wants to read a blog post where i write, "today, i actually made my bed!"? no one. and why would i want to bore people with that?! i feel bad, but you know that saying; quality over quantity - i feel like that could be my motto ;).
so, the 411 on my life - a lot of everythings with nothing really to write. for example, i have started my prac (my first completed week). it is the same class that i have been observing and and doing mini lessons! i love my class, though i am really nervous because i will be observed and marked on how i teach. other things such as my house will have a 'for sale' sign this coming saturday! it is sad because i have lived in this house since i was a toddler, where i could fit underneath the kitchen bench! obviously, now i am too big, but clearly not to big to stay in this house! again, nothing really. but, hopefully my life will become fun. i'll do fun things that nineteen year olds should do! until that time comes, get used to really boring post about really boring things. i'm not cool, but like you need to be told about that.

^^^i just love food. maddy had the french toast at the coffee club (seriously, so good) and i got eggs benedict (these are the best eggs. and their sauce - i don't know how they do it!). we were also there with our nana, sister lauren (whom is still pregnant!) and my cousin, jemma! jemma is also in the picture where we are laughing! i bought her a book of love, and the page reads 'when i put my arm around you, sometimes it's to rest my arm'. the funny thing was, i was doing just that! ha ha!^^^

MY LITTLE PHONEY.

sorry that i have been m.i.a. lately. i have either been too lazy, too tired or have just forgotten about this little baby. though my family would disagree, because everyday i have been sent messages that i have to put a new post up - or else (thanks, fam)! life has been a little bit crazy lately. work is very entertaining, and i have moved up (not in rank!) but in my confidence and self-esteem! i feel that if you are shy person, work in the hospitality industry! it is daunting at first, but everyday i talk to new people and ask them just mundane questions, either about their family or how they feel today! it is so much fun and i am kind of loving it (though, ask me in a few months time!).

nothing super exciting has happened in my little life. lauren is still pregnant, edie is now a little parrot - which is awesome! i am teaching her to say: "nana di di sounds like me me me"!little nate seems to always be in the walls and will is super crazy and loves to push boundaries! lachie is pretty much a walker (at a crazy young age). my cousin's baby is ready to come any day now - that is so exciting, even if i still remember him as a 15 year-old kid!

uni is going well. i am not going that great, but i did get my first hd for this semester this week, which is pretty exciting! i also went on a harbour cruise for an end of semester celebration, and it was a fantastic night (i say this now, but walking at 3am with heels in the city is a big no no - ladies, you have been warned!). i am a little bit obesseed with HAIM - Don't Save Me, it is so funky - and yes, i am about two years late for this, ha ha! also, Eddie Boyd and the Phatapillars - they are kind of awesome (i'm loving the song 'Bad Timing' - they filmed this video in their car! these couple of weeks have been like a blur, but luckily someone thought to put cameras in phones! bless their brains! so, this has been happening, according to my little phoney!
^^^ so scary. there is a bad story with this, but i'll leave you with - petrol + fire = no one wins. everyone is safe, but a very scary moment. and the kind of happy thing is that this pile has been over a decade in the making! now it is just ash!^^^

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

happy mother's day (for yesterday)! hope everyone had a lovely day! here the sun was shinning, the birds were singing and a lot of mummies were laughing. we had a small, little brunch at my sister's house, where we ate the most amazing pancakes and eggs (i'm thinking of the food now, again should of taken some leftovers ;-) ). as you all know, i am not a mum, nor will i be in the near future (remember guys, i'm only 19!), however, i love watching my mum doing her mum things, and watching my older sister's become these awesome mums, too. all of my older sister's have children and i love how the littles are becoming like their mummies (my mum keeps on telling lauren that edie is exactly like her, and william is as cheeky as/is julia).
women are so amazing. the things they do for their children (we all had to watch that video in year 8 about the naked woman giving birth in a bath tub?! please tell me you did, it used to give me nightmares!), women are just awesome, and when i have a few (again, read above) i want to be like my mum, sisters and even my sweet, sweet nana. love you guys.
on another note, the baby shower that i went to on saturday was super adorable (the soon to be mum was the new bride a couple of weeks back, photos here and here). the food was amazing and hannah looked absolutely beautiful! we played the baby games (like the gummy bears and what size is her belly), but the best bit about these gatherings is that you get to hang out with your family. we are such a close family that i don't know what i would do if i one day packed my bags and lived in another country! congrats hannah on the soon to be arrival of your baby boy, he is going to be a stunner!
and i also played netball and won 33-13.

last years mother's day!

^^^edie is starting to speak! so when you say a word she says it! we started staying ‘ready, set, go’ and she would say the 'go' part!^^^
^^^me and my cute nana. i love her to bits. i love her even more when she says things like “girlfriend” and “awesome”.^^^
^^^now you can see what I’m talking about. the food. and it was breakfast, so even better!^^^

WILLIAM TURNED 4!

my little nephew turned four last week and we had the cutest little party at my sister's house. before the real party started, they visited wascoe siding which is a non-profit train place (i'm not that into trains, but when it is open the street is lined with cars!). i didn't go to the actual place (but i do drive past it on my way to work), however, the birthday boy turned up late to his own party! it was such a beautiful day! the sun was out, the kids ate way too much lollies and chocolate, and we even got to fit in watching the sydney swifts win their netball game, ;-)!
we love you william. you are the happiest kid on the planet and i couldn't imagine a day without you. you are so sweet to your little cousins and cannot go to your nini's home without getting that cheeky smile out and getting chocolate from all the other older women! your smile is so gorgeous and we are loving the way you are now sharing with the littlies! love you lots, will!
^^^how cute are my littlies! his big blue eyes and that cheeky smile.^^^

^^^ha ha, little nate loved this game! we played hide-and-seek and he laughed and laughed!^^^

^^^look at his face! he was super excited, and i think it was because he helped make cupcakes! he then ate about three or four cupcakes...i was very happy that i got to leave before there was any crazy fights!^^^

^^^oh, this is for his 18th. ba ha ha!^^^

and happy saturday everyone! i'm off to a little baby shower!

WEDDING PART 2.

it is so interesting where people can get married these days! matt and hannah got married at a university, and firstly i was so confused, but when we rocked up there, it was beautiful! i think the brides side is jewish, they got married under a chuppah - this beautiful white cloth that they stood underneath. the same site also had a house they encompassed a bar, this little place for a photo booth and of course a dance floor.
i think i've said enough about how much i love weddings now (and no, not just because of the free alcohol, though that is a bonus!), and will finally finish showing these photos. maddy loves taking photos, and wherever we are she is always saying "get the camera out for your blog" - what a cutie! so there are many pictures, but i didn't want to forget a thing (ok, maybe a few would of been ok - you know what i'ma sayin').
part 1.

^^^this is the cake that my aunty made. it was one of the best cakes i've ever had. i think i said this in the last blog post...i just love cake! ha ha! and this is me and maddy, the usual, taking a snap!^^^

^^^some of my favourite photos of the night. i am lucky to have a really close family, and we all grew up hanging out with each other. my fondest memory as a child is the christmas holidays where we rented a beach house together, beg money from out parents (or we "worked" for it) and walk to the lolly shops! i hope to do this one day, too!^^^

p.s. it has been a crazy week. two assignment in a week gets you a little bit busy, but i'm working on the whole 'blog' thing! oh, and may the fourth be with you - he he. (i don't like star wars, but i just had to say it!)
